I use these seven steps to the scientific method every single day:
- What’s the problem?
- Hypothesis: What’s the believed answer?
- Metrics: how do I measure with data?
- Methods: how do I test the belief?
- Findings: what are the unemotional facts?
- Discussion: what are my opinions about the findings? (These are usually more hypotheses.)
- Next steps: self explanatory 🤣
